It is very important to make sure your contractor secures tiles with adhesive when they are installing perching wire since the wire oftentimes pulls tiles from their intended position possibly exposing the delicate tile underlayment paper. In addition, drilling into mud transitions easily causes cracks where their might not have been any before.
